In The Beginning
Bountiful Lake, West Bountiful, Utah
I like to take pictures. A lot. I've been taking pictures since back in the day when people actually bought film that was carefully loaded into a camera. These rolls allowed the photographer to anywhere from 12 to 36 pictures. One shot, one take, no second chances, no instant window to view the picture and no delete button if you didn't like how it turned out.
After taking those 36 pictures, the film got wound back into the camera, placed it in a cold place (like the refrigerator door) until there was time and money to take that film roll to the developer. In my teenage world, when all of this began, it wasn't unusual to have a fridge door full of film rolls before I saved enough cash to get them developed. It was always a surprise to get those photos back and relive the memories of the moments captured months earlier.
Now I can take as many pictures as I want with a digital camera, delete or keep all of them and view them instantly. I usually upload pictures onto a folder on my facebook page, but it's getting rather full. Plus, not all of my friends might enjoy looking at these pics. Thus the motivation for this blog. To upload my finest shots, give a little history behind the reason I love the photos, and basically keep an organized storage spot for them.
Welcome to my world....The Way I See It.
